Spain 2001
In the summer of the year 2001 Jackie and Graham went to Spain, flying to Sevilla, driving around on the route shown in the detailed map and flying back from Málaga. This was a visit to the province of Andalucia.  There is an interesting tourist site on the web at: www.andalucia.org.

Day One Monday 
11 June 2001
Flew from London Heathrow to Sevilla to stay at the Casa Imperial for two nights.
Day Two Tuesday 
12 June 2001
Explored Sevilla and ate at La Albahaca.
Day Three Wednesday 
13 June 2001
Picked up car, drove to Costa de la Luz, via El Rocío in the Parque Nacional de Doñana, found a tourist hotel, Tierra-Mar, for the night and ate at Parrilla Argentina Tango.  Matalascañas
Day Four Thursday 
14 June 2001
Explored the beach and went to the Parador at Mazagon. 
Day Five Friday 
15 June 2001
Saw Columbus's ships, had lunch in a motorway services and went to Ronda to the Parador there.
Day Six Saturday 
16 June 2001
Visited little villages in barren mountains as they prepared for the Corpus Christi parade.  Arrived at Córdoba to stay at the Hotel Conquistador for two nights.  Ate at Almudaina.
Day Seven Sunday 
17 June 2001
Visited the mosque.  Ate at El Caballo Rojo.  Came upon the Corpus Christi procession.
Day Eight Monday 
18 June 2001
Headed East into towns with stone buildings and mountains with pine trees to find the Parador at Cazorla.
Day Nine Tuesday
19 June 2001
Down from the mountains past ice green reservoirs in the middle of parched land to Granada and the Parador in the middle of the Alhambra.
Day Ten Wednesday 
20 June 2001
A side-trip up to the ski resort at the top of the Sierra Nevada then down to the Costa del Sol and West to Benalmádena-Costa to stay with Mummy.  Dinner at Giorgio's.

21 June 2001
Visiting the park in Benalmádena-Costa.
Day Twelve Friday
22 June 2001
Visiting the marina in Benalmádena-Costa.  Dinner at El Pampa.
Day Thirteen Saturday
23 June 2001
Time to go home to London Heathrow from Málaga.
